Small Things Pile Up
August 15, 2024 by

Something unique we enjoy at TrippNT is learning about Japanese culture and applying it to improve our products and processes. The Japanese concept of Sekisho Idia (small things pile up) highlights how seemingly minor details can accumulate and significantly influence our lives—both positively and negatively.

Consider how a small daily habit, like a 15-minute walk, might seem trivial at first. Yet, over a year, this simple practice can profoundly enhance your physical and mental well-being. On the flip side, Sekisho Idia also illustrates how little messes can grow into major disruptions. For example, a few misplaced items on your lab bench—like a box of tissues, Kimwipes, or bottles—can quickly escalate into a cluttered workspace. This clutter not only makes it challenging to find what you need, but can also lead to inefficiencies and errors.

It’s easy for this to happen and eventually impact your productivity.  So, it’s important to be intentional about your space so that you can do your best work.  By addressing these small issues before they accumulate, you can maintain a more organized and efficient environment.

At TrippNT, we understand the importance of managing these small things effectively. One of the most powerful things you can do to take control of your space is to get your supplies up on a wall or cabinet freeing up counter space. You can add flexibility by mobilizing your supplies allowing you to use supplies in multiple locations. Our mission is to support you in achieving an organized and functional workspace by offering solutions that help you stay ahead of clutter. However, our ultimate goal is to inspire you to recognize and act on the small details that make a difference and help you gain space.

Embrace Sekisho Idia by paying attention to the little things in your workspace. Addressing these small areas of clutter before they pile up can lead to a more streamlined, efficient, and productive environment.

Let’s make the small changes that lead to big improvements together!
