Aligning Individual Strengths with Business Needs for the Win
Devin Winters joined TrippNT as a high school senior and his journey is one of growth and success. Devin started out as a Fabrication Specialist - building TrippNT's products and diving into the details of efficiency and quality.
2018 - TrippNT Begins its Lean Journey
Reading 2Second Lean along with his teammates, Devin demonstrated an early mastery of understanding standard work and began to create work instructions, today called production sheets to standardize the work and make training so much more effective.
2020 - Jr. Engineer
When a business need was identified to add a member to TrippNT's engineering team, Devin was the emerging talent that fit the bill. He seamlessly joined the team and began to deliver. His initial responsibilities were to address the many andons that were occurring on the shop floor. Andons are calls for help from builders, shippers, and CNC operators.
Devin patiently answered every request, diligently documenting issues and leading the charge to resolve them. As his work continued, the number of andons were reduced and Devin began to dedicate more time to designing products, and then:
2023 - Quality Engineer
In January 2023, Devin was promoted to Quality Engineer. Devin's natural inclination toward quality and his willingness to dig into the details made him the natural leader for TrippNT's pursuit of ISO certification. Although this pursuit is temporarily on hold for TrippNT, significant progress was made and TrippNT is set up for success in the future.
Life Growth and Success
As we've watched Devin use his natural gifts and work ethic to succeed at work, we've also seen him achieve many personal accomplishments as well. During his time at TrippNT he got a degree, bought his first house and got engaged. Devin and his lovely fiance Olivia share their life with two Golden Retrievers: Anakin and Finnegan (Ani and Finn!).
