How We Keep Leaders We Admire Front of Mind

August 29, 2024 by

We have an open office concept here at TrippNT, which allows for improved employee communication, as well as a more efficient use of space. Another unique aspect of our office design is that each of our conference rooms is named for a leader we admire. This provides a constant source of inspiration.

Below are some photos of three of our conference rooms, along with some background on the corresponding leaders that inspire us:

The Sue Tripp Room

The Sue Tripp Room is named for our founder, Susan Tripp.  Starting the company with her husband Bob in 1993, Sue combined courage and creativity to build a respected brand and a solid customer base. Before her retirement in 2020, she fostered a dedicated team of employees, empowering them to become leaders in their own right. Tripp’s inspirational leadership is evident in her ability to translate her vision into practical solutions that make a significant impact on laboratory operations.

By prioritizing user-friendly designs and high-quality products, she has helped streamline laboratory processes and improve safety standards. Her entrepreneurial spirit and focus on solving real-world problems have positioned her as a role model for leaders who strive to blend innovation with practical solutions. The Sue Tripp Room is named for our founder, Susan Tripp. Sue had the courage and creativity to start her own business, along with her husband Bob Tripp in 1993.  Before retiring in 2020, Sue accomplished building a respected brand and solid customer base. She also developed a team of engaged employees.

The Ohno Room

Taiichi Ohno, often regarded as the father of the Toyota Production System (TPS), is an inspirational leader whose innovative ideas revolutionized manufacturing. At TrippNT, we honor his legacy through our Ohno Room, a space dedicated to reflecting on the principles he pioneered. By studying and adopting the TPS, we have achieved remarkable results, making it the foundation of our daily operations. Ohno’s emphasis on efficiency, continuous improvement, and respect for people continues to guide us as we strive for excellence in everything we do.

The Kauffman Room

Ewing Kauffman was an American entrepreneur and philanthropist best known for founding Marion Laboratories in Kansas City, MO. His leadership extended beyond business; he was a passionate advocate for education and community development.  Kauffman’s inspirational leadership stemmed from his innovative approach to business and his commitment to giving back.

He believed in empowering others through education and entrepreneurship, which he supported through the Kauffman Foundation. This foundation focuses on fostering entrepreneurial success and advancing education, reflecting Kauffman's dedication to creating opportunities and improving lives. His legacy is marked by his contributions to both the business world and the broader community, emphasizing the impact of leadership driven by vision and generosity.

We hope you enjoyed learning a little more about leaders we admire.  Who do you admire? Drop us a line - we’d love to know!
